When you first arrive in Bali, you'll be struck by the sheer number of temples scattered throughout the island. It seems like every street corner has a temple, and they come in all shapes and sizes. Some are massive structures that take up entire blocks, while others are tiny shrines tucked away in the most unexpected places. But the real fun begins when you start visiting these temples. One thing you'll notice right away is that you're required to wear a sarong and a sash when you enter the temple grounds. Bali, oh Bali! How do I love thee? Let me count the ways. There are so many reasons why I love this beautiful island! I will share some of them with you. But be warned: my love for Bali is so great that it may inspire you to book a one-way ticket and never look back. First and foremost, the beaches in Bali are absolutely stunning. The crystal-clear waters, the soft sand, the warm sun, and the palm trees swaying in the breeze are enough to make anyone feel like they're in paradise. But there's something else that makes the beaches in Bali truly special: the cows. Yes, you read that right. Cows. You see, in Bali, cows are free to roam the beaches. It's not uncommon to see them strolling along the shoreline or lounging in the sun. It's a sight that never fails to make me smile. Another thing I love about Bali is the food. Indonesian cuisine is a wonderful mix of sweet, savory, and spicy flavors, and it's always served with a smile. But my absolute favorite thing to eat in Bali is Nasi goreng. This is a delicious fried rice dish that's usually served with a fried egg on top. It's the perfect breakfast, lunch, or dinner, and it's so tasty that I'm pretty sure I could eat it every day for the rest of my life and never get sick of it. One of the things that sets Bali apart from other tropical destinations is its people. Balinese people are some of the kindest, warmest, and most welcoming people you'll ever meet. They're always willing to lend a helping hand or offer a friendly smile, and they go out of their way to make visitors feel at home. In fact, the locals in Bali are so friendly that you might find yourself making new friends everywhere you go. And let's be honest, who doesn't love making new friends? But perhaps the thing I love most about Bali is its sense of humor. Balinese people have a fantastic sense of humor, and they love to laugh and have fun. It's not uncommon to see locals cracking jokes, playing pranks on each other, or just enjoying a good laugh. And if you're lucky enough to be in Bali during one of their many festivals or ceremonies, you'll witness some of the most colorful and joyous celebrations you've ever seen.
